About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Email Marketing Intern to join us for the summer. This opportunity is ideal for a master’s-level student with at least two years of email marketing experience who is eager to apply their skills in a mission-driven environment.

You’ll work closely with our marketing and CRM teams to analyze performance data, improve audience segmentation, and build strategic email campaigns that engage and convert. This internship will allow you to build real-world experience while making a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze performance metrics across our CMS to evaluate messaging, tone, segmentation, and audience behaviors.
Build and optimize automated nurture funnels based on industry best practices.
Conduct in-depth segmentation analysis and audience journey mapping.
Contribute to the development of email strategy, campaign calendars, and content frameworks.
Design and execute A/B testing strategies (subject lines, layout, CTAs, etc.).
Support deliverability optimization efforts and compliance with global regulations.
Report on key metrics and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
Content Architecture and Email UX Strategy, including structuring messaging for clarity, accessibility and technical performance
Key Technical Skills You’ll Grow and Apply:

Email CRM Automation Tools – with a focus on ClickDimensions and Microsoft Dynamics
Data Analytics – using performance metrics to inform strategy
Email Content Development Strategy – crafting high-performing content and messaging that align with organizational goals and technical delivery standards
Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Canadian-accredited post-secondary institution (Master’s preferred).
Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an email marketing role or similar.
Excellent written communication skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in email marketing software; ClickDimensions and Microsoft Dynamics are strong assets.
Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with reporting dashboards.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting.
Understanding of email deliverability best practices and compliance with GDPR, CASL, and other email regulations.
Nice-to-Have:

Experience working with nonprofit or education organizations.
Familiarity with email testing tools or deliverability platforms.
Design skills (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) to enhance campaign visuals.

This position is contingent upon successful approval of funding through the ICTC WIL Digital Program. As part of the application process, we’ll work with the selected candidate to submit the required documentation to ICTC. While we are optimistic, funding is not guaranteed until final approval from ICTC is received.
