NZ Electrical Registration
NZ Practicing License
Site Safe Certification
Safe Working Practices Certification
First Aid Certification
Driver's License for a class 1 light motor vehicle
Skills & Abilities
Understanding of electrical regulations and ASNZS 3000 codes
Knowledge of the construction environment
Enthusiastic and pro-active
Flexible with working hours
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Calm and effective under pressure
Strong judgment in day-to-day tasks
Accountability for job success
Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day electrical services for industrial, commercial, and domestic purposes
Examine plans, wiring diagrams, and specifications
Measure and lay out installation reference points
Connect wire and cable to terminals and connectors
Use test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
Repair or replace faulty wiring and defective parts
Install electrical switchboards
Conduct testing to AS/NZS 3000 standards
Manage equipment upkeep and condition
Direct staff when required
Timely completion of paperwork, including timesheets, job sheets, and health and safety documentation
Health & Safety
Comply with health and safety requirements
Take responsibility for personal safety and that of others
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
Wear provided PPE and assess hazards proactively
Report accidents accurately and promptly
