Electrical Project Manager ( DFW Metro - No Travel )
Job Description
Our projects typically range from $100K to $2M+ with a strong pipeline of repeat-client and negotiated work throughout DFW.
All projects are local — no out-of-town travel required.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Project Manager who can independently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while driving schedules, financial performance, field coordination, and client relationships.
This is not an entry-level PM role. We are looking for someone with real commercial electrical construction experience who understands how to run projects, lead teams, solve problems, and protect profitability.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple commercial electrical construction projects simultaneously
Take ownership of projects from turnover through closeout
Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, labor tracking, and cost control
Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower planning, procurement tracking, and project execution timelines
Coordinate directly with General Contractors, owners, engineers, superintendents, foremen, vendors, and subcontractors
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, closeout documentation, and project communication
Perform material buyout and equipment procurement
Identify scope gaps, conflicts, and field issues early and drive solutions
Support and coordinate field operations to maintain production and schedule performance
Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, safety requirements, and contract documents
Lead project meetings and represent the company professionally with clients and trade partners
Minimum Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
MUST have commercial electrical construction experience
MUST have experience working directly for an electrical contractor
Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
Minimum 3+ years in a Project Manager role managing commercial electrical projects
Experience managing projects ranging from $200K–$2M+
Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, NEC requirements, and construction sequencing
Experience managing project financials, forecasting, labor tracking, and job costing
Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project scheduling
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license
OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with Procore and construction management software
Background in industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or ground-up commercial construction
