As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

About The Job
Though you may not know us by name, you’ve most likely enjoyed meals and refreshments supported by our industry-leading brand portfolio. For decades, we’ve designed and manufactured foodservice equipment for some of the world’s biggest, most recognized consumer brands. We are driven to innovate with a clear purpose in mind: to revolutionize the future of foodservice.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the hardware circuitry of controls and PCBAs that are embedded within our commercial foodservice appliances. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation.

This role is subject to our hybrid work model: we collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week, you have flexibility to work wherever it suits you best.

What You’ll Do

Plan, manage, and execute large core or derivative programs by defining project objectives, creating project plans, and establishing timelines and milestones

Lead complex product development programs by driving development and validation of the product or subsystems using standard methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Design Validation Plans

Perform system level design, testing, and validation for beverage/dispensing, cooking, refrigeration, frozen, or other related products

Perform radiated emissions, conducted emissions, and immunity/susceptibility testing using specialized lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers).

Participate in design process, testing, and reviews for electronic components and sensors across all product lines as a functional lead

Lead complex 8D issue resolution projects by defining the approach and actions

Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for electronic systems

Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools

Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions

Troubleshoot technical issues, identify areas for improvement, develop plan and implement design modifications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met

Who You Are

Independent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight

Collaborative Partner: Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Embody the practice of ‘we work for each other.’
