ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY LEAD

Thermal Intelligence Inc. Edmonton, AB Full-Time Permanent

Lead a critical electrical production function in a growing Alberta manufacturer This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for electrical panel assembly, shop-floor supervision, component sourcing, procurement, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As our production grows, we are looking for a hands-on Electrical Assembly Lead to oversee electrical panel assembly at our Edmonton facility. This is a working leadership role for someone who combines strong electrical assembly experience with practical shop-floor supervision, material coordination, and a disciplined approach to quality and documentation.

The successful candidate will remain closely involved in assembly while taking ownership of day-to-day workflow, team support, component sourcing, build quality, and process consistency. This role is ideal for a senior panel builder, electrical assembly lead, or working production supervisor who wants to stay close to the product while taking real ownership of results.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

· Electrical panels are built consistently, accurately, and to standard.

· The electrical assembly area is organized, efficient, and well run.

· Parts and materials are sourced, procured and available to support production schedules.

· Quality issues are identified early and addressed effectively.

· Bills of materials, production documentation, schematics and diagrams remain accurate and current.

· Assembly processes become more repeatable, scalable, and reliable over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Leadership

Oversee day-to-day electrical panel assembly in a manufacturing environment.
Remain actively involved in hands-on assembly, wiring, inspection, and problem solving.
Supervise and support a small electrical assembly team.
Set expectations for workmanship, pace, accuracy, and organization.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient assembly area.
Help establish and reinforce standard work for repeatable production.
Provide day-to-day direction, training, and mentoring to team members.
Procurement, Quality, and Improvement

Manage procurement of electrical components and related materials needed for production.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts.
Monitor inventory levels for key components and proactively flag shortages or supply risks.
Perform quality checks on completed electrical panels and assemblies.
Support troubleshooting of electrical products in production and, when required, in the field.
Maintain BOM accuracy and support updates to production documentation and drawing markups.
Identify opportunities to improve assembly methods, reduce errors, and increase throughput.
WHAT YOU BRING

Required

3+ years of experience in electrical production environments (electrical panel assembly, control panel manufacturing, or a similar)
Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring practices, and assembly quality standards.
Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, drawings, and bills of materials.
Proven hands-on experience assembling, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical panels.
Experience coordinating materials, sourcing components, or supporting procurement in a production environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop setting.
Clear, practical communication skills and a strong sense of accountability.
Strong Assets

Supervisory, team lead, or working foreman experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience updating BOMs, production documentation, or drawing markups.
Familiarity with preparing and updating electrical wiring diagrams and schematics in AutoCAD
Experience with CSA, UL, or similar manufacturing and electrical quality standards.
Experience with inventory, ERP, or MRP systems.
Electrical Technologist, Journeyman Electrician, or similar technical background.
