We are seeking a passionate and energetic English Language Arts (ELA) tutor to inspire students and foster a love for literacy. In this role, you will deliver engaging, personalized instruction that enhances students’ reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills. Duties
Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, focusing on literacy education, writing skills, and comprehension
Utilize various learning technologies and digital resources to create interactive and engaging lessons
Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with children of different age groups, including early childhood education and preschool levels
Manage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior and active participation
Develop curriculum materials that align with educational standards and incorporate elements of special education when necessary
Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each learner’s development
Requirements
Proven experience in classroom management, tutoring, or teaching roles, particularly with children or in early childhood settings
Strong knowledge of literacy education, lesson planning, and curriculum development techniques
Familiarity with learning technology tools used in modern educational environments
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, including Mandarin, French, Japanese, or other languages as applicable
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin or Japanese is a plus
Experience working with children requiring special education accommodations or in preschool settings
Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster literacy development and critical thinking skills
Passion for working with children and supporting their educational success through compassionate childcare practices
