Role Description The Editorial Video Intern role is an on-site internship based in Bengaluru South. Interns will support the editorial and video teams by assisting with research for stories, logging and organizing video footage, and preparing basic edits under supervision. Daily tasks may include sourcing and verifying visuals, coordinating with reporters on shot requirements, drafting simple scripts or captions, and helping with fact-checking. The role may also involve supporting social media distribution of video content, preparing thumbnails, and uploading finished pieces according to editorial guidelines. This internship is designed to provide hands-on newsroom experience and mentorship in video storytelling and editorial processes.
Qualifications
• Strong interest in journalism, visual storytelling, and current affairs, with the ability to identify engaging story angles.
• Basic familiarity with video production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and a willingness to learn new software.
• Good research, fact-checking, and organizational skills, including the ability to work with multiple sources and manage video assets systematically.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South, collaborate with a diverse team, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Current student or recent graduate in Media Studies, Journalism, Film, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, ethical approach to content, and openness to feedback and mentoring.
