Job Description
The College/University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our Economics Department as an Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, conducting research, and providing academic support to students.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, including introductory and advanced level courses.
Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops to facilitate student learning and understanding of economic theories and concepts.
Design and implement effective assessment methods to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Conduct research in the field of economics, publish scholarly articles, and present findings at conferences and seminars.
Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters, including course selection, research opportunities, and internships.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall development and improvement of the Economics Department.
Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in the field of economics to enhance teaching methods and curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues on research projects and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Requirements:
Post Graduate or a related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated expertise in a specialized area of economics.
Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
