Are you passionate about aquatics and recreation? Do you have a natural flair for leadership and customer service? If so, we want YOU to join our dynamic team at the Wangaratta Sports Aquatics Centre (WSAC) as a Duty Manager.

As a Duty Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team to deliver outstanding service and maintain the smooth, safe, and efficient operations of our centre. From supervising lifeguards, customer service, fitness, and maintenance staff, to overseeing pool operations and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, you'll be at the heart of everything we do. Your focus on high standards of safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction will make a real difference in the experience of our community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring an exceptional customer experience at all times.
Ensure a safe environment for both patrons and staff, including handling emergency situations with confidence and efficiency.
Oversee the smooth operation of all facilities, with a focus on pool plant maintenance, equipment setup/takedown, and daily tasks.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

Strong knowledge and experience in aquatic services and leisure management.
A knack for solving customer issues in a fair, friendly, and solution-focused way.
Flexibility to work hours that match the needs of the centre.
The ability to fulfill the role requirements of both Lifeguard and Customer Experience Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
SISSS00111 Pool Lifeguard
Working with Children Check
Willingness to obtain a satisfactory Police Check
