Class 4 Driver Operator – Infrastructure | Northland
Operate More Than Just a Truck, a Role with Real Varierty.
InterGroup is looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver Operator to join our Northland Infrastructure team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll operate specialist vehicles across a range of infrastructure services, including road sweeping and sump maintenance. When required, you'll also have the opportunity to support other projects across our Infrastructure and Industrial divisions, giving you plenty of variety and the chance to build new skills.

About the Role
As a Driver Operator, you'll primarily operate Class 4 and Class 2 vehicles delivering road sweeping and sump maintenance services throughout Northland.
This isn't a driving-only role. You'll also assist with manual operational tasks, equipment set-up, and other projects across the business when required. Every week is different, with a mix of scheduled work and varied operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Class 4 and Class 2 specialist vehicles safely and efficiently
Carry out road sweeping across scheduled routes
Complete sump cleaning and maintenance activities
Assist with manual operational tasks as required
Support Infrastructure and Industrial teams on a variety of projects
Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections
Maintain accurate job records and documentation
Follow all health and safety procedures and company standards
About You
You'll have:
A full Class 4 driver's licence (mandatory)
Experience operating heavy vehicles
A strong commitment to health and safety
Good physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual work
A reliable attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in road sweeping, drainage, civil construction, industrial services, or infrastructure maintenance would be an advantage but isn't essential.
