Description
This position is responsible for driving, loading, and unloading Class C (bobtail) vehicles during the course of O&I moves and related services. The driver must also lift, carry, and push furniture, equipment, and cartons on wheels or in hand to and from trucks, offices, and warehouses as requested by the customer.
The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks from the loading dock, using ramps or lift-gates. They may also assist in setting & offsetting goods on equipment. The primary goal is to produce a quality move for the customer.
Responsibilities
Drive Class C bobtail vehicles safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks from the loading dock using ramps or lift-gates.
Assist in setting & offsetting goods on equipment.
Communicate with supervisors, end users/customer, and other crew members to ensure a smooth move process.
Report any issues related to the job to the Lead Foreman, Supervisor, or Project Manager.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
A valid California Class C driver's license.
A minimum age of 21 to qualify for company vehicle insurance.
A valid driving record that meets the company's insurance carrier's requirements.
Two to three years' experience in a commercial office moving or warehouse environment.
One to two years' driver experience in a warehouse environment.
