Driver
A hands-on driving role that goes beyond getting from A to B.
You'll operate a truck-mounted crane, work directly with customers, and play a key role in collecting and recycling scrap metal, combining skilled equipment operation with purpose-driven work in the circular economy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring efficient service to customers by collecting scrap metal in a timely manner.
Communicating with management to identify any on-site concerns regarding OHS, environmental, or collection issues arising.
Following a daily work plan for routine collections, our site safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Operating a truck mounted crane to collect scrap metal from customer sites.
Operating any additional mobile plant/equipment (forklift, excavator, etc. where licensed) to assist with collection/loading.
Participating in various continuous improvement and other programs as required.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
A current NZ Class 4 (or more) Driver Licence.
Ability to operate a truck-mounted crane, Hiab or similar.
High levels of customer service, good communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment.
Flexibility with both transport and operations.
A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
Desirable:
Truck Mounted Crane/ Hiab ticket.
Class 5 Licence
Forklift and/or WTR tickets highly regarded
