We are looking for an experienced software engineer to design and develop code for an enterprise class n-tier financial system. The Software Engineer will be well versed in .NET technologies and have a thorough understanding of software engineering fundamentals, best practices, patterns, technology choices, and n-tier designs. We have an agile-based team that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. We are forward thinking, use the latest tools, and have a strong team focused on getting great software out the door quickly.
Responsibilities:
• Design and code enhancements to business applications and products consistent with established design patterns and business requirements
• Work effectively in small teams to ensure best practices and engineering approaches.
• Provide estimates on difficulty and sizing of enhancements, as well as alternative solutions.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and effectively contribute new ideas.
• Understand and contribute to overall architecture vision principle.
• Manage, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent software development activities.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
Skills Required
• Proficient in C# and/orVB.NET.
• Strong knowledge of .NET web frameworkASP.NET MVC, JavaScript and HTML5/CSS3.
• Hands on experience in SQL, managing store procedure.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Full knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Experienced in multi-threaded N-Tier applications.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work individually and with other engineers in a collaborative manner.
Advantageous Skills
• Experience in Reporting tools like SSRS / Crystal report.
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git & TFS.
• Knowledge of stock markets, asset types, and other financial concepts.
Academic Requirements
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
