About Go Building Solutions
Go Building Solutions is a London building maintenance, repair, refurbishment
and fire door contractor. We work directly for property managers, facilities
managers, managing agents and insurance handlers across residential blocks,
managed estates and commercial premises.
Our work is planned and reactive maintenance, not one-off domestic call-outs.
That means a steady diary, repeat sites you get to know, and clients who
expect paperwork done properly.
We are recruiting one experienced Gas Safe engineer to take over an
established round from an engineer leaving the business. There is a full
handover period with the outgoing engineer.
The Role
You will attend residential and communal properties across London carrying
out reactive and planned heating, gas and plumbing works:
- Boiler servicing, breakdowns and fault finding
- Landlord Gas Safety Records (CP12)
- Heating system diagnostics, power flushing and repairs
- Radiator, pipework, valve and cylinder works
- Unvented hot water systems
- Heat Interface Units (HIUs) in communal systems
- General reactive plumbing, leaks and make good
- Boiler and system replacements
- Accurate job reports, photographs and certification on the same day
You will be the engineer our managing agent and FM clients see on site.
How you present and how you report matters as much as how you fix.
Essential
- Current Gas Safe registration (personal, in date)
- ACS: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or Domestic Gas
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience
- Living within a reasonable commute of London
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Own hand tools and a calibrated flue gas analyser (calibration in date)
- Able to work unsupervised, diagnose properly and report clearly.
Desirable
- G3 Unvented Hot Water
- Experience on HIUs and communal / district heating
- Water Regulations (WRAS), L8 Legionella awareness
- Experience working for managing agents, FM providers or insurers
- Commercial gas tickets (COMCAT) — we will support you to gain these
- Manufacturer accreditations (Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Baxi)
- Asbestos Awareness, CSCS card, IPAF or PASMA
What We Offer
- £45,000 to £52,000 depending on experience and tickets
- Company van and fuel card
- Standby rota paid at £150 per week plus 1.5x for hours worked
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
- Company pension
- ACS re-assessment and ticket renewals paid by GBS
- Support and funding to add commercial gas tickets
- Uniform, PPE and specialist tools provided
- Structured handover from the outgoing engineer, not a cold start
- Office team handling scheduling, quoting and client communication
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. Overtime and weekend work available
We also consider experienced engineers who wish to work on a self-employed
subcontract basis. Day rate £220 to £280 depending on tickets, payment
