Domestic Cleaner

Belmont Care Home is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our care home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, and facilities to meet infection control and hygiene standards
Dust, vacuum, mop floors, clean windows, mirrors, and sanitise bathrooms and high-touch surfaces
Replace linens and towels as required, ensuring presentation meets care home standards
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the Home Manager
Adhere strictly to health and safety and infection control protocols
Respond to resident and visitor requests in a courteous and professional manner
Assist with additional cleaning or housekeeping tasks as directed by management
Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in care home or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays if required
Understanding of health and safety practices within a care environment
Friendly, approachable, and resident-focused attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
