Whoa Doggie is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional Dog Walker & Pet Care Provider to join our growing team. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term opportunity who takes pride in providing exceptional care and building lasting relationships with both our clients and their pets.
What You'll Do
Walk dogs individually or two from the same household.
Provide in-home drop-in visits and potty breaks.
Follow individualized care instructions for each pet.
Monitor canine body language and behaviour to ensure safe, positive experiences.
Provide fresh water, meals, medications (when required), and lots of enrichment and affection.
Send detailed visit updates, photos, and report cards through our pet care app.
Travel between client homes throughout your shift.
Represent Whoa Doggie with professionalism and excellent customer service.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous professional or extensive hands-on experience working with dogs.
Is confident reading canine body language and recognizing signs of stress, fear, or overstimulation.
Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and force-free handling methods.
Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Is physically able to walk multiple dogs and remain active throughout the day.
Is looking for a long-term position with a growing company.
Requirements
Valid driver's licence.
Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to drive between client homes throughout Calgary.
Comfortable spending a significant portion of your day driving between appointments within a reasonable service area.
Smartphone with data for scheduling and visit updates.
Ability to pass a criminal record check.
Availability on weekdays (some evenings, weekends, and holidays may also be required).
