Locum Dispensary Pharmacist - NHS Hospital, Essex
Location: Essex, NHS Hospital
Hourly Rate: £25 - £28 per hour
Position: Ongoing, Full-time
Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join an NHS hospital in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with previous dispensary experience to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within a dynamic NHS environment. The role is ongoing and offers a hourly rate of £25 - £28 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispensing medications for inpatient and outpatient services
Ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions
Providing expert advice on the use of medications to patients and healthcare teams
Supporting inventory management, including stock control and ordering medications
Ensuring compliance with NHS and hospital protocols and standards
Assisting in maintaining a smooth running of the dispensary department
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
Previous dispensary experience in a hospital or NHS setting is essential
Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and support patients and staff
Full-time availability for ongoing hours
