As the Senior Pharmacist (Grade – Dispensary Manager, you’ll lead a high‑performing pharmacy team, drive excellence in dispensary services, and champion best‑practice medication stewardship for both inpatient and outpatient services.
You’ll oversee the full operational rhythm of the dispensary—streamlining workflows, elevating service delivery, and ensuring every patient receives safe, timely, and effective medication support. Dispensary management experience — You bring proven experience managing inpatient and outpatient dispensary operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality medication distribution.
Continuous improvement focus — You’re committed to refining workflows, uplifting service standards, and driving quality initiatives.
Redevelopment contribution — You’re energised by the opportunity to contribute to future hospital redevelopment planning, ensuring modern, patient‑centred medication services.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult effectively, advise and provide assistance to professional peers and other staff. Including computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and adhere to deadlines with the proven ability to problem solve using initiative.
Demonstrated high level of competence, expertise and skills to apply clinical judgment in the provision of hospital pharmacy services, including a high level of understanding of the principles of formulary management, the Quality Use of Medicines, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and the Special Access Scheme (SAS).
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff in the delivery of high quality pharmacy service within a tertiary referral hospital.
