Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Coordination:
Arrange appropriate vehicles based on the nature, type, and volume of materials to be dispatched.
Assess and select the correct type of vehicle required for different materials to ensure safe and efficient transport.
Dispatch Planning & Execution:
Schedule dispatches in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Communicate with transporters and drivers for on-time availability and dispatch updates.
Loading & Unloading Supervision:
Supervise manpower during loading and unloading of pumps and other equipment to ensure safety and proper handling.
Verify material is loaded/unloaded as per documentation and quality standards.
Material Management:
Maintain and verify records of inward and outward materials.
Ensure timely updating of dispatch documents, delivery challans, and logs.
Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with warehouse, production, and procurement teams for dispatch scheduling.
Address issues or delays in transport or material handling effectively.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations.
Maintain accurate and updated dispatch logs and records for audit purposes.
Requirements:
Proven experience in dispatch or logistics coordination (2+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of vehicle types and logistics operations
Ability to handle manpower and coordinate multiple dispatches simultaneously
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, ERP or dispatch software knowledge is a plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, sound decision.
