Position Overview:
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the hotel's Sales function to drive top-line revenue across all segments – Corporate, MICE, Leisure, and Travel Trade. This role requires strategic leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality markets to position Taj Cidade de Goa as the destination of choice.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business goals.
Identify new business opportunities and high-yield segments to maximize RevPAR.
Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and customer insights to guide pricing and positioning.
2. Business Development Client Relations
Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, corporate houses, wedding planners, travel agents, and industry influencers.
Personally handle high-profile accounts and negotiations.
Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Team Management
Lead and mentor the Sales team to achieve individual and departmental targets.
Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous development.
Conduct regular team reviews, trainings, and performance appraisals.
4. Revenue Generation Reporting
Collaborate with Revenue Management and Marketing teams to optimize rates and inventory.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports; track progress against budgets and forecasts.
Provide timely and accurate MIS reports to the General Manager and senior leadership.
5. Collaboration Brand AlignmentWork closely with Marketing, PR, FB, and Events teams to execute brand-aligned campaigns.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, and industry events.
Ensure adherence to IHCL brand standards in all client interactions and communications.

Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum 10–12 years in sales with at least 3–4 years in a leadership role within luxury hospitality.
Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong network within corporate, travel trade, and HNI segments
Preferred: Prior experience with Taj / IHCL or other leading luxury hotel chains
