HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the EVP/CNE, the Director provides vision and leadership for the Medicine Program, in line with the Mission, Vision and Values and Strategic Directions of the Health Centre. This position is responsible for strategic planning, operational decision-making, ensuring high quality patient care services and resources utilization and development. The Program Director has primary operational accountability for the development, management, evaluation, and improvement of high-quality patient care services within these Programs.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Baccalaureate degree in a health discipline program and completion of a relevant Master’s degree
Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or other Regulated Health Profession
Membership and participation in a relevant professional organization
Minimum of five years demonstrated leadership ability to involve and motivate a team of diverse professionals in achieving desired results
WHO YOU ARE:
Experience leading interdisciplinary project teams
Experience in Clinical Informatics, professional practice and/or project management as asset
Demonstrated ability to develop outstanding working relationships at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated leadership in the advancement of clinical practice and the achievement of program goals
Demonstrated use of theory and research/evidence based outcomes in practice.
Exemplary ability to manage time effectively to achieve results within preset deadlines
Proven ability to take an active role in leading change
Demonstrated analytical and budgeting skills
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
Demonstrated initiative and being focused on solutions
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders/clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge of program planning, development, facilitation, and evaluation
Analytical decision making/problem solving skills to manage abstract & complex problems
Conflict resolution and mediation/facilitations skills
Skills in promoting a team environment and a patient focus
An ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite programs
Demonstrated ability to maintain a good attendance record and meet the performance standards of the Health Centre
