Job Description

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The Digital Program Specialist - Software Development is a full-stack software specialist who will be responsible for designing and developing in-house systems for AIIB's business areas. They will work in a start-up, fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to cutting-edge technology and a multilateral development bank’s business environment where they can hone skills in project implementation, communication, stakeholder management, planning, and risk management. The specialist will serve as a member of the IT Department. This role is onsite in Beijing, China.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture.
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
• Write well-designed, testable code.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Test software to ensure responsiveness, efficiency, and security.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
• Write technical documentation.
• Conduct code review on the work of service providers, and ensure projects and deliverables comply with IT governance processes and procedures.
• Define proper development process and coding standards.
Requirements
• Master’s degree equivalent or higher in computer science, software engineering or relevant field from a reputable university.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong development skills in Core Java, J2EE, C++, .Net, Python, SOA-based Web Services, RESTful Web Services, XML and WSDL.
• Good knowledge of multiple front-end languages and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue, Node.js).
• Excellent knowledge of databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB), SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate), web servers (e.g. Apache, Tomcat).
• Experience developing web applications using Spring/SpringBoot/Spring MVC.
• Familiarity with Microservice technology and Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Good knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience developing software systems for the financial industry.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Ability to document requirements
