DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and ideal Cloud/DevOps engineer who is passionate about the cloud services, infrastructure and databases; and looking for new challenges. You will be working with a DevOps and Cloud engineering team based in India & Hong Kong.

About the Role

What you'll be doing (Fun and challenging..)
• Developing and managing our client's and in-house development' cloud architecture.
• Assist in developing effective cloud strategies and coordinating the process of adaptation.
• Participate in the Implementation on configuration and automation tools to simplify process of deploying, testing, packaging, and upgrading software across the infrastructure.
• Participate in the implementation on monitoring tools and processes to ensure the highest levels of system availability.
• Create reports and dashboards.
• Analyzing, executing, and streamlining DevOps practices.
• Facilitating development process and operations.
• Troubleshoot mild to moderate issues in cloud, guiding developers and operation teams in case of any issues.
• Monitoring, reviewing, and managing technical operations.
• Assist in testing and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Define DevOps policies, procedure, discipline, and standards and responsible for the compliance governance.
• Establishing a suitable DevOps channel across the organization.

Requirements

What you'll need to be successful in your role

· 2+ years relevant working experience in DevOps & cloud environment.

· Experience with major cloud providers: Google Cloud (preferred), AWS, Azure.

· Experience in Linux / Unix and programming such as Linux Bash Scripting or Python.

· Experience with Unix/Linux system administration.

· Should have a very good understanding of system build, Administration, Backup, Security.

· Experience in distributed version control (e.g. Github).

· Familiarity with configuration management framework (e.g. Ansible).

· Experience in a CI/CD of a large scale enterprise application using tools/frameworks such as Github Actions, Jenkins, FluxCD & ArgoCD etc.

· Experience in infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform).

· Has exposure to developing large scale infrastructure and application logging, monitoring and alerting systems.

· Knowledge and experience in DevOps tools, container management using Kubernetes & Docker.

· Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous projects, and function in a highly productive environment.

· Good with analytical and problem solving skills.

· Self-driven with excellent command in both spoken and written English.

Bonus attributes
• Experience on architectecting on Google Cloud Platform / AWS such as VPC, DNS, Managed Kubernetes Cluster, Cloud Storage/S3, Cloud Watch, Stackdriver etc.
• Knowledge of Istio service mesh, HashiCorp Vault.
• Knowledge of Sql/NoSql databases (e.g. MySql, PostgreSql, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis).
• Knowledge of Message queue/broker (e.g. Kafka, Mqtt).
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with establishing and integrating development, test and production environments.
• Current or actively pursuing related professional certifications.
