Job Description
Role Overview:
As a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Engineer / IT Support professional, your main responsibility will be to provide end-user support and ensure the smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure. You will be in charge of installing and configuring systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing timely technical assistance to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and software applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to Windows, macOS, and business applications.
- Manage hardware replacements, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Provide support for Wi-Fi connectivity and basic networking issues.
- Perform system updates, patch installations, and routine security checks.
- Respond to user queries and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.
- Maintain records of support requests, resolutions, and IT assets.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and replacements when required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security standards.
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and basic Linux administration.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Understanding of desktop peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related devices.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including Wi-Fi configuration and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to install, configure, and support software applications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
