Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion supplier for an experienced Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a portfolio of leading high street retailers, including River Island, TK Maxx, George, amongst others, creating trend-led, commercial collections with a younger, feminine handwriting.
This is a customer-facing role, ideal for a commercially minded designer who thrives in a fast-paced supplier environment. We are looking for someone with excellent trend awareness, a strong understanding of the UK high street, and the ability to translate emerging trends into commercially successful products. The successful candidate will be confident presenting to buyers, reacting quickly to customer requirements and developing high-volume ranges that meet both creative and commercial objectives.

You will play a key role in creating commercially successful collections, identifying new product opportunities and driving the design process from initial concept through to final delivery.

Main Responsibilities will include :
• Design and develop trend-led, commercially focused womenswear soft woven collections across multi-product for key accounts.
• Create feminine, fashion-forward ranges with a younger handwriting, balancing the latest trends with strong commercial appeal.
• Research seasonal trends, catwalks, influencers and competitors to identify new product opportunities.
• Produce CADs, trend boards and range presentations for customer meetings.
• Present confidently to buyers, building strong customer relationships and responding to briefs with innovative ideas.
• React quickly to emerging trends and customer feedback, ensuring speed to market.
• Work closely with product development, merchandising and production teams to ensure products are delivered on time and to the required standards.
• Maintain an excellent understanding of competitor activity, bestselling products and market trends to drive commercial success.

Person Specification
• Previous experience designing womenswear soft wovens within a fashion supplier, working with high street retailers
• A strong commercial eye with the ability to interpret trends into high-volume, fashion-led product.
• A younger, feminine design handwriting with excellent colour, print and shape awareness.
• Highly trend-driven with a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of the UK high street.
• Confident presenting ideas and ranges directly to buyers and customers.
• Able to work at pace, managing multiple accounts and priorities within a fast-moving environment.
• Proactive, organised and self-motivated with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
