Role Description The Design & Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot. The individual in this position will prepare detailed designs and technical specifications for electrical distribution panels and related systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing drawings, preparing bills of quantities (BOQs), performing project cost estimations, and coordinating with internal teams to support bidding and execution activities. The role involves conducting technical research, reviewing client requirements, and supporting negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders to optimize design and cost efficiency. The engineer will also collaborate with project, procurement, and service teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely delivery, and quality in all design and estimation outputs.
Qualifications
• Ability to prepare and manage BOQs and project estimation documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of civil engineering concepts as they relate to electrical installations and infrastructure.
• Strong negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and contractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Research skills to analyze technical standards, product specifications, and market trends for electrical and renewable energy solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; a diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Experience in design and estimation for electrical panels, industrial electrical systems, or similar projects.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and basic electrical design software, along with solid understanding of relevant codes and regulations.
• Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a project-driven environment.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
