The RMU Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering, development, and documentation of 11kV/33kV Ring Main Units (RMUs). This role involves the preparation of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing drawings. The engineer will coordinate closely with production, procurement, quality, and project teams to ensure the timely execution of RMU projects in strict accordance with customer specifications, IEC standards, and utility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design & Engineering: Prepare comprehensive RMU electrical and mechanical designs for 11kV and 33kV applications.
• Drafting & Documentation: Develop accurate SLD, GA, and schematic drawings.
• Production Support: Prepare detailed BOMs and precise fabrication drawings.
• Specification Review: Analyze and review customer specifications and tender documents to ensure alignment with design output.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs and products comply with relevant IEC and IS standards.
• Execution Support: Actively support manufacturing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate effectively with Sales, Procurement, Quality, and Project teams.
Required Qualifications
• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 3–8 years of dedicated experience in the design of RMUs, HT Panels, MV Switchgear, or Substation Equipment.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Strong technical knowledge in RMU Design and HT Switchgear.
• Expertise in Protection & Control Schemes and Relay Coordination.
Key Competencies
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
