Our school has a strong sense of community and ensuring we are working together on improvement. Farrer is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative School Leader B to join our leadership team. The position holds an important instructional leadership role, working closely with the Principal, mentoring both teachers and school leaders. The leadership team is comprised of the Principal, Deputy Principal and two School Leader Cs.

Job Description:

Work collaboratively with the Principal to develop and achieve whole school strategic goals within the Student-Centred Improvement Framework.
Lead consistent implementation of quality innovative practice across the school in pedagogy, curriculum and assessment and reporting.
Lead the collection and analysis of data and evidence aligned with the Student-Centred Improvement Framework and the Strong Foundations system reform.
Build a professional learning community that is focused on the continuous improvement of teaching and learning through professional learning that shifts practices.
Work collaboratively with the Principal to strategically align school resources (fiscal and human) to meet current and future learning priorities across the school.
Lead the implementation of Inclusive Education Strategy at Farrer Primary School with consideration and engagement of all stakeholders.
Undertake an appropriate teaching load and other duties as determined with the Principal.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

A minimum of 4 years full-time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or eligibility to obtain TQI.
A current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to: Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra.
