Deputy Manager - Civil & Structural Design
Job Description
Responsibilities
• Civil and structural design of RCC buildings and structural steel buildings for industrial and township projects.
• Preparation of structural analysis models, STAAD files, and design calculations.
• Preparation and review of bill of quantities, technical specifications, tender documents, and technical bid evaluation reports.
• Review and approval of structural designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, electrical, utility teams, external design consultants, project management consultants, and EPC contractors.
• Provide technical guidance, issue resolution, and practical engineering solutions during site execution.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate, high-quality engineering outputs within project schedules.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost without compromising safety, functionality, or quality.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety regulations, and internal quality standards.
• Promote innovation and adoption of modern tools, methods, and technologies in structural engineering.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in civil and structural design and engineering.
• Proven experience in civil and structural design of material handling structures such as conveyors, transfer towers, crusher houses, and screen houses.
• Experience in township developments, including residential and commercial buildings.
• Demonstrated experience in design review, tender engineering, multidisciplinary coordination, and site support.
