Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in dental office software, ensuring smooth communication between patients and the dental team.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes.
Schedule and confirm appointments using Abeldent or similar dental software.
Handle patient inquiries via phone systems and in-person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
Maintain patient records with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Process insurance claims and assist patients with billing inquiries.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient office operations.
Manage office supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Keep the front desk area organized and welcoming for patients.
Experience
Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software such as Abeldent is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is an asset.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office management tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
