Job Summary: Dental Prior Authorization and Front Office Coordinator
- Manage the complete dental prior authorization process for commercial and Medicaid payers.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, annual maximums, deductibles, waiting periods, and frequency limitations.
- Prepare and submit prior authorizations, pre-treatment estimates, and supporting documentation (radiographs, narratives, photos, treatment plans).
- Track and follow up on pending authorizations; process approvals, denials, appeals, and resubmissions.
- Maintain accurate authorization and patient records using Open Dental software.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments; manage recall lists and treatment plan scheduling.
- Handle patient and insurance-related inbound and outbound calls.
- Maximize provider productivity by filling schedule gaps and cancellations.
- Ensure all documentation meets HIPAA compliance standards.
- Prepare daily scheduling and authorization reports.
- Collaborate with dental providers and clinical teams for documentation needs.
- Maintain up-to-date patient demographics, insurance, and account information.
- Provide excellent verbal and written communication with patients, payers, and the dental team.
