About the role
We require an experienced dental hygienist to develop and strengthen our hygiene department. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical histories, undertaking x-ray exams, screening for oral conditions, periodontal charting and dental cleanings. These dental cleans will range from class-I prophylaxis to perio-scaling and root-planing. Certification in administering local anaesthesia is preferable. You will also be responsible for assisting with treatment plans, have great communication skills and help with educating our customers about oral health. You will be a part of a caring and professional team in a well-known and well-established dental surgery in Christchurch. The position is currently part-time. We work 5 days a week, so we’ll discuss days and hours. We are located at a prime location in Christchurch, minutes away from the CBD.
About you
You should be friendly, positive, well-presented, motivated, enthusiastic, and have strong communication skills in both verbal and written English. You should have a full working knowledge of Exact Software and should have the ability to interact with the Exact support team. Familiar with EMS Airflow® for gum pockets which represents one of the most innovative approaches to oral hygiene, ensuring effective cleaning, comfort, and enhanced gum health. You should also have strong computer literacy skills with knowledge of MS office suite and be able to work in a multicultural environment. You will have a competitive remuneration package.
