Job Summary
Johnson & Associates Dental, part of ***** Dental Group, is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-service-driven Dental Front Office Assistant to join our Fountain, CO team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent patient experiences, and efficient front office workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Interaction & Customer Service
Greet patients warmly and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere
Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments
Manage patient check-in and check-out, including processing payments and insurance verifications
Appointment Management
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments to optimize clinic flow
Send appointment reminders and follow up with patients regarding upcoming or rescheduled appointments
Administrative Duties
Maintain and update patient records accurately within the clinic’s database
Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly filed
Handle correspondence, emails, and faxes related to patient care and clinic operations
Billing & Insurance
Verify patient insurance information and benefits prior to appointments
Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims for timely reimbursement
Collect, record, and explain patient payments and billing information as needed
Office Coordination
Ensure the front desk and waiting area are clean, organized, and well-stocked
Assist with coordination of office events and patient outreach initiatives
Support the dental team with additional administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
2 years Dental Experience
Additional certification in office administration or a related field is a plus
Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with dental practice management software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
Other Qualifications
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
Familiarity with dental insurance billing and coding practices
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
