Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Lumino Taradale.
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. This is a hands-on role where you'll work chairside alongside our dentists, assist with sterilisation and infection control, and help maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments
Ensuring patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Monitoring sterilisation processes and maintaining compliance records
Restocking treatment rooms and clinical supplies
Assisting with stock management and monthly ordering
Supporting the team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
Hours
This is a full-time position. Hours are negotiable, however ideally you will be available to work at least 4 days per week, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is highly valued.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous Dental Assistant experience (1+ years preferred)
A strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence working in a fast-paced clinical environment
Experience using dental practice management software, ideally EXACT
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
A genuine passion for patient care and delivering exceptional service
