Job Description
This role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of transitioning to casual employment upon successful completion of the contract, subject to business needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our clinicians while helping to create a positive and welcoming experience for our patients. You'll work closely with our dental team, providing chairside assistance and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
32 hours per week
In this role, you will:
Assist clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are sterilised, organised, and ready for use
Provide chairside support and help ensure patient comfort throughout treatments
Welcome patients and assist with check-in procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and appointment scheduling
Manage appointments and communicate with patients regarding upcoming visits and treatment plans
Perform general administrative duties as required
Follow infection control and health and safety protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in dental preferred, however training can be provided for the right candidate
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong focus on patient care and customer service
High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
The ability to follow infection control and health and safety procedures
A professional, mature, and empathetic approach when interacting with patients
The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Valid New Zealand work rights
