Overview
South Point Dental in Airdrie is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our busy, patient-focused practice.
Requirements:
Alberta RDA certification
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWhat

Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems, (knowledge of akitu one software preferred- not mandatory)
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with infection control protocols.
Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
2 years experience in dental assisting is preferred.
Familiar with digital scanning (iTero)
Prostho experience
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software (knowledge of akitu one software preferred- not mandatory)
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is required.
