Responsibilities
Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines
Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
Acquires pick-up tickets and completes route in the most efficient manner
Load donations on the truck in the most organized manner to allow as many pickups as possible on each truck load and to minimize damage/breakage
Clean and secure the vehicle and equipment; conduct daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition
Ability to organize pick-up tickets and to schedule route in a manner that saves time and fuel

Job Summary
Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines. Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public. Acquires pick-up tickets and completes route in the most efficient manner. Load donations on the truck in the most organized manner to allow as many pickups as possible on each truck load and to minimize damage/breakage. Clean and secure the vehicle and equipment; conduct daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required and one year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Work requires driving a vehicle with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
