DCDP Chef

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Demi Chef De Partie (DCDP) to join our culinary team at JD Restaurant. As a DCDP, you will assist the Chef De Partie in preparing and presenting exquisite dishes while ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities:

Assist the Chef De Partie in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
Coordinate and communicate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production.
Take responsibility for specific sections or stations within the kitchen, such as sauces, grill, pastry, or cold kitchen.
Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling, and marinating, ensuring proper portioning and organization.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic working environment.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared to the required specifications.
Assist in the development of new menu items, considering customer preferences and culinary trends.
Support the Chef De Partie in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, tracking usage, and reporting any discrepancies.
Uphold high standards of food presentation, ensuring that dishes are visually appealing and meet quality expectations.
Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and ingredients to enhance culinary knowledge and skills.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Demi Chef De Partie or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant or hotel.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and food preparation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually learn and grow in the field.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with the kitchen team.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
