Job Description
Role: Oracle Database Administrator
As a Principal Consultant (Oracle DBA), you will work with our team to deliver top-class support and inspire customer loyalty. Whether onsite or sharing your expertise via the cloud, you will be responsible for providing quality work products to an engagement.
About Oracle Global Service Center:
Oracle Global Service Center is a unit within Oracle that establishes long-term relationships with many of Oracle's customers through annuity-based service contracts and project-based one-time services.
An offshore Hub will cater to the needs of all Service entities across Oracle globally. Our team sells from a broad IT-services portfolio in both the fixed price and Time and Material basis.
Large Oracle customers that require the utmost attention to real mission-critical applications and processes typically request GSC services. We cover the majority of large-scale Oracle customers.
About the Job:
You will be working as an experienced consulting professional in Oracle Database who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family.
Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.
Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.
Participates in business development activities.
Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
Requirements:
6 to 14 years of work experience in Oracle database technologies.
Qualification Any Degree (However BE/B. tech/MCA/BCA would be preferred).
Knowledge of designing, and implementing of enterprise solutions using Oracle Database Technology.
Experience in Oracle Database Administration 12C,18c,1+c.
Knowledge of DB Architecture experience in Oracle 12c ,18c,1+c.
RMAN backup and recovery solutions.
Desired Skills:
RAC Implementation.
Golden Gate replication.
Experience in managing Oracle DB on OCI.
Experience in Exadata / ExaCC.
Oracle Database migrations to OCI (DB Systems, ADW).
Working knowledge in Oracle cloud IaaS.
Work experience in Unix Shell scripting, Virtualization & automation.
OCI Certification Foundation / Architect/professional is an added advantage.
Willingness to Travel both domestic or out of the country.
