Dance Teacher for Preschool

Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curriculum for toddlers aged 2 to 12, focusing on basic dance techniques, coordination, rhythm, and creativity. Plan engaging and interactive dance lessons that cater to the developmental needs and abilities of young children. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, creativity, and self-expression. Teach fundamental dance movements, such as stretching, bending, hopping, skipping, and basic dance steps, while incorporating music and imaginative play. Use various teaching methods, such as storytelling, props, and visual aids, to make dance lessons fun and interactive for young learners. Promote physical fitness, coordination, balance, and spatial awareness through dance activities. Monitor and ensure the safety of children during dance sessions, adhering to established health and safety guidelines. Provide individual attention and guidance to each child, fostering their self-confidence and personal growth. Collaborate with other preschool staff members to integrate dance activities with the overall curriculum and enhance the learning experience. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with current dance education practices. Requirements: Previous experience teaching dance to toddlers or young children. Demonstrated knowledge of basic dance techniques and the ability to adapt them to the developmental levels of children aged 2 to 12. Passion for working with young children and fostering their love for movement and dance. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and fellow staff members. Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging children in active and imaginative dance activities. Basic knowledge of child development principles and practices. Availability to work in the evenings every day, accommodating the preschool's schedule.
