What you will be doing
• Develop and enforce comprehensive DLP policies and strategies, aligning them with organizational goals and industry regulations. Collaborate with teams to build security protocols that address data protection.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of DLP systems (e.g., Endpoint DLP, E-mail DLP, Cloud DLP). Configure DLP policies, manage alerts, and monitor systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead or assist in responding to security incidents, focusing on data breach containment and remediation. Conduct root-cause analysis and make recommendations for improved security controls.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing DLP solutions and research new technologies to enhance data protection. Generate reports and analyze trends to support decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders (e.g., IT, Legal, Risk) to implement data protection strategies. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DLP technologies and advise on best practices.
• Document DLP processes, configurations, and incident responses. Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance with data protection regulations.
What you will bring
• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with 2+ years focused on Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Proficient in DLP tools, including Zscaler DLP, Proofpoint DLP, and Microsoft Information Protection
• Extensive hands-on experience with data protection regulations, compliance frameworks, and automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Terraform)
• Skilled in cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), server virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Certified in Information Security (SSCP, CISSP, CEH, CCNA, SANS GIAC Security Certifications: GSEC, GCED, GSIP)

The Cyber Security Specialist specializing in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) will be responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data across all platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining DLP solutions to protect Orica's sensitive data, as well as detecting, responding to, and recovering from security incidents. Additionally, this position offers DLP expertise to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with security standards and regulatory requirements.
