Position Summary
Bonnyville Bolt Supply Ltd. is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support while serving as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors. You will support daily store operations by managing customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating product purchases, receiving inventory, making local deliveries and pickups, and maintaining efficient front desk operations. This role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive timely, professional, and knowledgeable service every day.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Customer Support
First Impressions: Provide front desk coverage, warmly welcoming customers, contractors, and visitors as they enter the store.
Communication Management: Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
Sales Inbox: Monitor and respond promptly to inquiries received through the company’s general sales email account.
Client Engagement: Assist customers with product inquiries, pricing requests, and order tracking—delivering outstanding support across phone, email, and in-person counter interactions.
Customer Records: Maintain organized, up-to-date customer files, contact details, and account records.
Order Processing & Purchasing Support
Order Entry: Process customer orders accurately and ensure all related documentation and invoicing are complete.
Supplier Coordination: Coordinate and place product orders with suppliers and vendors to keep orders moving smoothly.
Stock Oversight: Monitor on-hand stock levels and proactively communicate purchasing requirements to management.
Inventory, Deliveries & Local Operations
Deliveries/Pickups: Safely deliver orders to local customers and pick up required stock/orders from vendors as needed.
Shipment Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, inspecting freight to verify product quantities and check for proper condition.
Inventory Records: Assist with organizing, updating, and maintaining accurate physical and digital inventory records.
System Data Entry: Coordinate receiving documentation and ensure incoming products are properly entered into the inventory management system.
Sales/Operations Support: Actively support broader sales and operational activities across the store, contributing as a positive, dependable, and cooperative member of the BBS team.
Qualifications & Key Attributes
Experience: Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, front desk administration, POS software and order processing. Experience in hardware, fasteners, or industrial supply is a strong asset.
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for executing deliveries and pickups.
Technical Skills: Comfortable using Point of Sale (POS) software, inventory systems, email, and standard office software (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
Organization & Detail: Highly organized, capable of multitasking in a busy store environment, and meticulous with data entry and record maintenance.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, handle/inspect incoming stock, and handle local loading/unloading for deliveries.
