Salary: $77k - $82k + Super (pro rata)

About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Merri-bek Libraries. This is a permanent part-time role working across three of Merri-bek’s largest libraries at Glenroy, Coburg and Brunswick.

The Customer Service Library Technician role is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and targeted library and information services to our diverse community. This role includes digital literacy assistance and other library initiatives to bridge the digital divide, assistance with library events and activities, and shift supervision of library officers when the most senior staff member available.

Skills and experience require to perform the role
Good teamwork skills
Good communication, digital literacy and time management skills
Good supervisory skills
Excellence in service provision to all sections of the community
Ability to deal with difficult situations
Ability to assist and support library programming
Demonstrated understanding of Child safety and wellbeing requirements and how this applies in the public library setting.
Diploma of Library and Information Services (Library Technician) or equivalent.
