JD -Customer Service Executive in Freight Forwarding:
Call regular customers to check if any fresh bookings in pipeline
Once cargo planning received, check with sales person for rate confirmation
Plan vessel according to cargo readiness and vessel availability (consult sales)
Once vessel decided, ask ops team to place booking
Confirm buy rate with sales/pricing
Once booking received from Ops, forward to the customer
Ask customer for pick up status. Update same to the liner (if needed)
Handover VGM, load list and other details to Ops team
Monitor that SI has been given y customer before cut off
Check on gate in status. In case delays, inform ops team for SSR/VIA
Send on board confirmation
Intervene if any line related issues or delays and try to sort it out. If not possible at your level, involve the sales person or then management
