Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• On-Site Technical Support & Rapid Customer Response (Mysore Focus):
• Serve as the dedicated, on-site technical window for our customer in Mysore, ensuring a high sense of urgency from initial troubleshooting to final resolution.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and precision repairs of installed testing and inspection equipment.
• Handle immediate on-site actions during emergencies to minimize customer production downtime.
• Execute site setup, equipment installation, and commissioning, followed by providing operational training to customer operators. Continuous Training & Skill Development.
• Initial 3-Month Intensive Training: Successfully complete a comprehensive 3- month onboarding program across Bangalore (Local HQ), Japan (R&D/Development Site), and Thailand (Manufacturing Site) to acquire deep domain and hardware/software knowledge of our specialized machines.
• Participate in ongoing technical training sessions to continuously upgrade knowledge regarding equipment upgrades, new features, and advanced troubleshooting methodologies. Global Collaboration & Reporting
• Coordinate with overseas R&D and manufacturing teams for root-cause analysis when complex or unprecedented technical issues arise.
• Prepare detailed service reports and provide technical feedback/defect reports to overseas headquarters. Domestic Mobility & Cross-functional Support
• Travel to other regions within India for on-site service, installations, and support as new customers are acquired.
• Assist with technical documentation and support the Sales team with technical insights when there are no active service calls.
Required (Must Have)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or IT Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of field service experience handling industrial machinery or high-tech equipment (in equipment support for testing and inspections of PCB / PCBA is highly preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading electrical schematics/drawings, using diagnostic tools, and performing hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Language: Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with overseas engineers (via email and web meetings) and local customers.
• Location & Mobility: Must be willing to be permanently based in Mysore and have the flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (especially during the first 3 months).
