About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a full time Customer Service and Administration Officer based at the Waste Management Centre. This position provides customer service and administration support for the functions of the waste team.
This position provides quality customer service (phone and reception) to members of the public and undertakes a range of complex administration tasks utilising a range of intranet based data administration and record management systems and Microsoft computer packages. The position also provides support in the gatehouse at the landfill, including some coordination of the gatehouse staff.
Key Requirements
Current Class C Drivers Licence
Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 2 years administration experience
Proficiency in the operation of various computer packages including Microsoft office programs, particularly Excel
Demonstrated customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience in data entry
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work in a team and provide support in promoting cooperation and good relationships

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,155.40 to $1,213.83 per week + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
