Position Overview: CPA/Tax Accountant

Scout Financial, a leading financial services firm in Pasadena, CA, provides accounting, tax, and advisory solutions to a diverse client base. We are seeking a highly skilled, client-focused CPA/Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of client accounts, delivering high-quality financial reporting, tax planning, and strategic advisory services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment and excels in balancing accounting operations, compliance, and client advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Client Accounting Management:

Oversee a portfolio of client accounts, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Tax Compliance and Preparation:

Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
Financial Advisory Services:

Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, optimizing tax strategies, minimizing liabilities, and supporting business growth.
Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing timely, accurate responses to inquiries.
Tax Audit Preparation and Support:

Prepare financial documentation for audits and assist external auditors during client tax audit processes.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze financial data to identify insights and recommend cost-saving measures to enhance client profitability.
Compliance Oversight:

Stay current with changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure client compliance.
Process Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements to internal processes for greater accuracy, efficiency, and client service delivery.
Qualifications

Active CPA certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a client-facing role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations with a proven track record in tax preparation and advisory services.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines independently.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Job Details

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus
