We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of packages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient route driving. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various equipment as needed.
Duties
Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to deliver packages across designated routes.
Load and unload items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule deadlines.
Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management or moving stock when necessary.
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with route driving expertise.
Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Experience operating box trucks, forklift, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding inventory handling and moving items within storage facilities.
Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan optimal routes.
