Company - Temporary Helper (On call)

Location - Uxbridge, ON

Pay - $18/hr

Overview:
We are seeking a temporary helper to join our team in assisting with various tasks in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the food processing industry.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in packaging finished products according to specifications
- Support the production line by performing tasks such as labeling, sealing, and stacking products
- Repalletizing skids /boxes
- Lift up to 40lbs - 50lbs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production area
- Assist with material handling and movement using forklifts or other equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines throughout the production process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: On the road

Duties
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with menu selections and inquiries.
• Accurately handle cash transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring precise cash handling and cashiering practices.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.
• Assist in food preparation and service as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
• Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the role.
