Job Description
Role: Cost Accountant
Reporting to: Accounts & Finance Head
Job Responsibilities:
The Cost Accountant/Cost Analyst will be responsible for:
• Planning and Analysing: Planning and analyzing data to determine the cost for business activities such as raw material purchase, finished goods, inventory, and other factory-related expenses (process, labor, packaging costs)
• Monitor and verify raw material costing to ensure correct material price and Product Price are.
• Assist in pricing review by providing accurate, timely information in costing to ensure maximum profitability
• To prepare and analyze monthly factory expenses and manufacturing costs comparing standard estimated costs to actual production costs and analyzing factors affecting the pricing and profitability of the goods
• Prepare container-wise variance costing sheets (ie pre-shipment and post-shipment cost analysis for raw material, production, freight, and other expenses)
• Cross-checking all factory bills and finding and developing strategies for reducing the monthly overheads and expenses
• Prepare the accurate COGS report.
• Planning, organizing, and controlling the stipulated cost control system and procedures
to optimize profitability, along with a reconciliation of finished goods inventories.
Requirements:
• ICWA /Inter ICWA with functional experience of 4-5 years.
• Industry preference: Food Industry and EXPORT/Manufacturing background
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, accounting skills (TALLY
